Up Winter’s Chill: Volunteer at the Museum of Natural Sciences
Increase your natural history knowledge and stay warm during Mother Nature’s wintry chill. Be a volunteer at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences! Learn more about the exciting opportunities available during the Museum’s Winter Volunteer Open House on Monday, January 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Anyone from 18 to 108 is welcome. For the January Open House, the Museum is focusing its needs on five areas. “We’re looking for volunteers for the Naturalist Center, Living Conservatory, and Museum Store along with carts and mammals collections,” said Tullie Johnson, Museum coordinator of volunteers. “Museum staff members will be at the Open House to answer questions and tour guests through the Museum’s programs and exhibits.” Volunteers receive free parking, discounts at the Museum gift shop, reduced fees for Museum programs, and invitations to special Museum events and trips.
