Savannah is a recent addition to the Museum as the Curator of Veterinary Ser-vices. Her job is to help provide medical care to the Museum’s live animal collec-tion and to provide assistance with real medical cases in the Window while edu-cating and interacting with the public. Previously, Savannah worked at a veteri-nary clinic for cats and dogs in Wilmington, NC and has also worked as an Educa-tion Associate/Field Specialist at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and completed an animal husbandry internship with the livestock department at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo. She also volunteered at the Fort Fisher Aquarium and various places while studying abroad in Australia.
Through her studies and travels, Savannah has become most passionate about animal care and conservation and believes that the first step to conservation is education. Therefore, her career goals lie with educating the public in institutions like the Museum of Natural Sciences while working closely with animals.
