Melissa is responsible for coordinating and leading professional development workshops for educators at the Museum, at schools, and at field sites across North Carolina. Her work at the Museum has allowed her to develop her skills as a naturalist and given her the opportunity to share the wonders of nature with many North Carolinians. Melissa has observed the power of intense experiences in the natural world to impact conservation behavior and change lives. She strives to provide such opportunities for educators, who in turn can influence thousands of students.
