Current Research

General herpetology research efforts are dedicated to documentation of all reptile and amphibian species' distribution and natural history, as well as declining species and federal or state listed species with respect to their status, biology, and management strategies to help conserve their populations. A grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service supports a status survey of the Carolina gopher frog in North Carolina and South Carolina.
