Measuring Your Way from Here to There

Family Program We will test out various measuring devices from the ancient cross-staff to the modern laser distance finder. By the end of class each student will be able to confidently use some basic math to find their location or measure the height of any tree in their backyard. 03/04/2015 - 10:00am

Longleaf Lifelong Hike

Workshop or Trip We will visit sites in the sandhills area of the state with staff from the NC Nature Conservancy to learn about the longleaf pine forest and some of those restoration efforts. 03/11/2015 - 8:00am

Summer Camp This camp offers a true field experience as young scientists investigate the diversity of plants and animals living within the Raleigh city limits.
