$210 per person ($190 for Friends of the Museum)

Campers in this full-day program will explore 38 acres that was once a cow pasture but has been transformed into a variety of habitats including prairie grassland, bottomland forest, ponds and stream. A diversity of plants, animals and other life can be found among the myriad habitats of this special place. Participants will gain a better understanding and appreciation of our natural world through close examination of animals and the aquatic and terrestrial habitats they live in.

Prairie Ridge is located off Reedy Creek Road, close to Blue Ridge Road and the NC Art Museum.  All children must be dropped off and picked up at Prairie Ridge.  No transportation is available between the Museum and Prairie Ridge.
