This week-long focus on life in and around the water, from tadpoles to snapping turtles, will be based at Yates Mill Pond. Learn aquatic science in the field through experiments, activities and observations. Campers will also tour the historic Mill on-site and learn about this Mill as an integral aspect of rural life in the early days of settlement in Wake County.

Yates Mill Pond is located south of Raleigh near Penny Road.  All children must be dropped off and picked up at Yates Mill Pond. Transportation is not available from the Museum to Yates Mill Pond.
