Science Saturday: The Scientific Search for Life in the Universe
Science Saturday programs, held in Windows on the World Theater on the first Saturday of every month, highlight the vast world of scientific research and allow attendees to interact with experts in a variety of scientific fields. All are welcome to attend.
Presenter: Rachel L. Smith, Director, Astronomy & Space Observation Research Laboratory
Dr. Smith will present an overview of various science missions and other research endeavors aimed at finding extraterrestrial life in our Solar System, Earth-like planets in other solar systems, and fundamental research in helping us understand how solar systems like our own form and evolve in the Galaxy.
Teachers: If you would like to offer your students extra credit for attending one or more Science Saturday programs, please contact Bonnie Eamick, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Science Saturdays are held in partnership with the NC State University Biomedical Engineering Department and are funded through NC Space Grant.
