About our presenter

You may know him as the host and emcee of our Thursday night science cafes, or as the Curator of the SECU Daily Planet, but Brian Malow is also known as Earth's Premier Science Comedian (self-proclaimed). Featured on NPR's "Science Friday" and "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," Brian has performed for the NSF, AAAS, NIST, JPL, ACS and many other acronyms, as well as Apple, Dell, and Microsoft. He has produced science videos for Time Magazine and audio essays for Neil deGrasse Tyson's radio show, and worked as a consultant for NASA educational outreach projects. Brian currently writes a blog for Scientific American and co-hosts a new show on The Weather Channel called “Hacking the Planet.”
