Siats meekerorum illustration by Jorge GonzalezJoin us for a special look back at 2013: The Year in Science.  What were the big stories and issues?  Exploding meteors over Russia!  New species of mammals and dinosaurs!  New treatments for HIV!  Universal health care!  The discovery of interlocking gears in an insect!  The possibility of flowing water on Mars!  These are just a few of the stories that made headlines in 2013.  We've assembled a panel of scientists and journalists to discuss their favorite discoveries and developments and to tell us what to expect in 2014.

The Cafe will be moderated by Science Comedian Brian Malow. Panelists include cancer pharmacologist and writer David Kroll, astronomer Rachel L. Smith, and Rose Hoban, founder of North Carolina Health News.
