Ready, Set, Get Wet!
This camp for young outdoor explorers is just the ticket to discovery of the plants and animals that love the waters of Yates Mill Pond. During this week of camp at Yates Mill Pond, campers will find, identify, touch, and learn about tadpoles and turtles and much more! We’ll play water games, go canoeing, and tour the historic Mill as we discover why water is important for both wild animals and people in Wake County.
Yates Mill Pond County Park is located south of Raleigh near Penny Road and Lake Wheeler Road. All children must be dropped off and picked up at Yates Mill Pond County Park. Transportation is not available from the Museum to Yates Mill Pond.
Registration information: Registration required. Please visit the Summer Camp Frequently Asked Questions page for more information.
