Fee: 
$90 ($80 for Friends of the Museum). Fee covers travel and instruction. Participants pay for meals and lodging.

While most summer beach visitors are basking in the sun and playing goony golf, we will be visiting some interesting natural areas with interesting names such as Jockey’s Ridge, Run Hill Dune, Pea Island and Nags Head Woods.  Weather permitting we will also experience the spectacular sunset return of up to 100,000 Purple Martins to their roost under the old Mann’s Harbor Bridge between Mann’s Harbor and Roanoke Island.

Registration information: Registration required. Fill out online, print and mail the Museum’s Registration Form and Health Form with payment. Registration deadline is two weeks prior to trip start date. Trips failing to reach the minimum registration numbers by the deadline date may be canceled. Please call to check on trip status if interested in registering after the deadline.
