Let nature guide your inner artist. We will go canoeing, hiking, search for turtles and other wildlife to inspire your creativity at Historic Yates Mill County Park. Bob Palmatier, a local artist, will teach campers how to illustrate nature with pencil, watercolor, pen and ink, and gouache painting technique in the afternoon. A small kit of professional art supplies will be included in the camp fee. 

Yates Mill County Park is located south of Raleigh near Penny Road and Lake Wheeler Road. All children must be dropped off and picked up at Yates Mill County Park. Transportation is not available from the Museum to Yates Mill.
