The Stinker - Ig Nobel Prize mascotThe 2013 Ig® Nobel Prize Ceremony will be streamed live to the SECU Daily Planet from Harvard's Sanders Theatre at 6pm. Science comedian and Curator of the Daily Planet Brian Malow will emcee the event.

What are the Ig® Nobel Prizes? They are "for achievements that first make people laugh, and then make them think." They are awarded each year in a gala spectacle by actual Nobel laureates. Previous awards have been given for converting old Russian ammunition into new diamonds, for the development of a wasabi fire alarm, and for demonstrating that the problem of illegally parked luxury cars can be solved by running them over with an armored tank.

Come as early as 5:30 to mingle with other science/humor mavins.
