Help us honor the Planet Earth Celebration green pledge by bringing your own refillable water bottle to the event. Free water will be provided at various locations throughout the event.
Due to the expected high volume of visitors, no strollers will be allowed inside the Museum. Please use our complimentary stroller drop-off and pick-up before touring the Nature Research Center.
Activities happen rain or shine.
TRANSPORTATION & PARKING
In honor of Earth Day and in partnership with the Museum’s Grand Opening, ride any CAT Bus for FREE on Saturday, April 21. Service begins as early as 4:30 am for some routes; check the online CAT schedule for specific route details.
The R-Line will also be running its FREE circular route through downtown, Friday and Saturday, 7 am–2:15 am. See the map on page 2 of the insert for the bus route.
Alternatively, ride your bike to the Grand Opening; there will be plenty of bike parking available.
Downtown Raleigh has multiple parking lots and garages available, marked on the map on page 2 of the insert. Handicapped parking is available in the Green Square Deck, behind the Nature Research Center, accessed via Edenton Street near the corner with McDowell Street.
