Requirements:
Classroom teachers and assistants (any grade/subject), administrators, pre-service or substitute teachers; informal educators such as park and nature center staff & volunteers; anyone working on their NC EE certification.
Location: In the Field - Merchants Millpond State Park, Gates County, NC
Fee:
$50 (includes transportation from Raleigh, camp fee, most meals, and most camping gear)
Thanks to a generous grant from the Walmart Foundation, all Educator Trek costs will be reduced for 2012-13.
Explore one of the most beautiful state parks in the Coastal Plain, Merchants Millpond State Park. Canoe the millpond and learn about its unique ecology, the magnificent Bald Cypress-Tupelo Gum forest and its many inhabitants.
