Join us for an exciting introduction to PLT Forests of the World.  This workshop provides formal and informal educators with a series of activities to help high school students and educators gain an increased understanding and appreciation of the diversity of world forest environments, with an emphasis on the human interaction with and dependence on those environments.  We will feature time in the Museum’s very own Central American tropical forest habitat, our Living Conservatory, as well as an exploration of downtown trees, weather permitting.

Participants receive a certificate for CEUs and credit for North Carolina's Environmental Education Certification Program.

 Educator Trek Registration Form (PDF) – Complete, print and mail this form to register for Educator Treks. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email and/or mailed receipt. Workshop details will be sent via email one to two weeks prior to the workshop.

*This program is restricted to educators: classroom teachers and assistants (any grade/subject), administrators, pre-service or substitute teachers; non-formal educators such as park and nature center staff & volunteers; anyone working on their NC Environmental Education certification.
