Requirements:
Classroom teachers and assistants (any grade/subject), administrators, pre-service or substitute teachers; informal educators such as park and nature center staff & volunteers; anyone working on their NC Environmental Education certification.
Location: In the Field - Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve, near Southern Pines, NC
Fee:
$25 (includes transportation and resources)
Learn about the fascinating life histories of some common NC dragonflies and damselflies. Get tips on identification, where to locate them and what behaviors can be observed. Gain insights into creating habitats for these flying jewels on your school grounds or at home. Also learn about educational and recreational opportunities at Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve.
