Water conservation - faucet drip containing EarthThe Museum is celebrating Earth Day all month long! Join us for Earth Month every Science Thursday in April from 5-9pm.  Each Thursday will have a different conservation-related topic.  Come see exhibitors, listen to talks and participate in activities and learn more about ways YOU can make the Earth a better place!

Water exhibitors will include Purific Water, Capital Group Sierra Club, City of Raleigh Stormwater Volunteer Programs, City of Raleigh Public Utilities, NC Division of Water Resources, Triangle Greenways Council, WakeUp Wake County, and Ball Energy Services.

Drop off your CFLs! Did you know that throwing away Compact Fluorescent Bulbs (CFLs) is illegal and can cause mercury to enter our water sources?  Drop your CFLs off tonight and learn more about disposing of them the proper way! Alkaline Batteries (e.g. AAA, AA, C, D & watch batteries) can also be dropped off.

Special Class: Rainwater Harvesting

Special Workshop: Earth Embroidery

PLUS

  • Meet some LIVE aquatic animals!
