Boys will get their hands dirty as they learn about the trees, bugs, and herps of the Piedmont on field trips to the Museum of Natural Sciences, the Nature Research Center, and other locations around Raleigh. Boys will meet scientists in several different disciplines and will finish their week with an overnight camping trip to Hanging Rock to experience the ecology of the foothills.
Located on Falls Lake in Wake County, Blue Jay Point County Park features butterfly gardens, ponds, hiking trails, wildlife habitats and a modern residential facility with a full kitchen and indoor bunk room and classroom.
