Minimum age 12. Minors must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Location: In the Field - Participants meet at Museum and travel by van to Black River
Fee: 
$80 ($70 for Friends of the Museum) for canoe; $90 ($70 for Friends of the Museum) for kayak. Please specify on form whether you plan on using a canoe or a kayak.

Paddle the beautiful Black River, which flows by some of the oldest living trees in the eastern United States.  Ancient Bald Cypress Trees are found along this black water river, some of which are believed to be almost 1700 years old!

Activity Level: Moderate paddling for a full day

Registration information: Registration required. Fill out online, print and mail the Museum’s Registration Form and Health Form with payment. Registration deadline is two weeks prior to trip start date. Trips failing to reach the minimum registration numbers by the deadline date may be canceled. Please call to check on trip status if interested in registering after the deadline.
