This program has been CANCELED due to poor weather. It will be rescheduled soon!
Join us at Prairie Ridge for a night of viewing the stars! The Raleigh Astronomy Club is bringing their telescopes to help us view some wonderful winter night sky features. Come early for a chance at seeing Comet ISON's tail on the horizon, or stay later to see the Andromeda Galaxy, the Orion Nebula, the Ring Nebula, or the moon! Get up close and personal with the stars, have your astronomy or telescope questions answered, learn about some simple ways you can help scientists study the night sky, or simply enjoy a great winter evening stargazing.
This is an outdoor evening program in winter, so it will likely be cold! Be sure to dress warmly and bring a flashlight. Please consider bringing a blanket and a hot, non-alcoholic beverage as well so that you can sit back and relax while enjoying the night sky. Please contact Chris Goforth at 919.707.8882 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. In case of bad weather the day of the program, please call 919.707.8888 and press 5 after 5pm for information about rescheduling or cancellation.
