Do you ever wonder what’s beneath the surface of ponds or streams? Do you love to look for life in and around the water? Then this camp is for you! Based at Yates Mill County Park, we will learn aquatic science in the field through hands-on activities, experiments, and observations! Pond-dipping for tadpoles, fishing, looking for turtles, and canoeing the historic Mill pond are just some of the fun things we have planned.

Yates Mill Pond County Park is located south of Raleigh near Penny Road and Lake Wheeler Road.  All children must be dropped off and picked up at Yates Mill Pond County Park. Transportation is not available from the Museum to Yates Mill Pond.
