dragonflyJoin us at Prairie Ridge as we discover dragonflies! Our naturalists will lead you on a tour of the aquatic habitats of Prairie Ridge to look for these spectacular and fascinating insects. You'll learn how to identify some of the common local dragonfly species, try your hand at catching dragonflies, and help scientists learn more about dragonflies as a citizen scientist. Bring your cameras and binoculars (if you have them) and your enthusiasm for dragonflies!

This program will take place outdoors and will involve over a mile of walking over uneven, partly rugged terrain.  Please plan to bring a jogging or rugged stroller if bringing one for younger children. For more information or to register please contact Chris Goforth at 919.707.8882 or chris.goforth@naturalsciences.org.
