Family Science Investigation - PCR: Polymerase Chain Reaction

Family Program Participants will learn the theory behind and perform a procedure known as Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). PCR involves the amplification of a minute sample of DNA, and is used in a variety of research, forensic, medical and industrial applications. Based on a model research question, this program will take students through sample preparation, DNA amplification, visualization of PCR products through gel electrophoresis and data interpretation. 05/28/2013 - 2:00pm
