Join us as we explore two of the highest peaks in NC - Mt. Mitchell and Grandfather Mountain. Learn about the plant and animal communities of these unique high elevation environments. We will meet with staff at both locations to discuss current topics of interest. And we will have the perfect backdrop for this peak experience as we stay at the beautiful Celo Inn. Come prepared to hike and learn!

Join us as we search for the majestic elk, reintroduced to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park after an absence of over 200 years. Sample activities used to document the biodiversity of the park. Discover how you can bring the excitement of field research into your teaching. *The cost of this Trek is reduced due to a generous gift through the Friends of the Smokies.
