Come join us on April 17 from 10am–1pm to celebrate the groundbreaking construction of a Chimney Swift tower at Prairie Ridge Ecostation! Historically, Chimney Swifts have used chimneys for nesting and roosting, in return consuming great numbers of flying insects. However, swift populations are now declining due to a shortage of available chimneys. The Chimney Swift Tower Groundbreaking will feature bird walks, nest walks and family nature activities until 1pm.
