We’re studying the mammal population at Prairie Ridge using a series of camera traps placed around the grounds, and we want YOUR help! In this program, you will learn about the ongoing eMammal project at Prairie Ridge, help us move our cameras to their new locations for the month, and learn how we process the data gathered by our cameras. You can be one of the first people to see what we’ve caught on camera at Prairie Ridge and learn about the ways that we can harmlessly and effectively study mammal populations on the grounds — without the animals even noticing! Please contact Chris Goforth at email@example.com or 919.707.8882 for more information or to register.
Note: This program is entirely outdoors and involves a fair amount of walking (at least 2 miles) over uneven ground, up and down hills, and occasionally through brush. Long pants and closed-toed shoes are required, and please dress appropriately for the weather. We will also be crossing the stream and some ditches, so waterproof shoes or rubber boots are recommended.
