Wildlife biologists spend a lot of time actually counting animals. This talk will focus on one of the most commonly used and accurate methods for counting: mark-recapture. Counting animals can give scientists valuable information on the health of populations and effects of disturbances such as pollution, habitat destruction and harvest.
