Dragonflies and damselflies are among the most widely recognized and popular insects, but they also exhibit fascinating behaviors and play an essential role in the environment. Come learn why you usually see dragonflies near water, why you sometimes see two dragonflies attached together in flight, and how dragonflies improve the quality of your everyday life.
Science Saturdays is a series of lectures and demonstrations that are held on the first Saturday of each month in Windows on the World at 11 am. The presentations mainly target middle- and high-school students, but everyone is welcome to attend. Science Saturdays are held in partnership with the NC State University Biomedical Engineering Department and are funded through NC Space Grant.
