The energy needs for our society will double in the next 35 years. Where will this energy come from? One possibility is to convert the sun’s energy into a liquid fuel, much like plants convert the sun’s energy into sugars. In this Science Café, we will discuss state-of-the-art research in artificial photosynthesis, and find out how and why such a carbon-neutral power source could change the way we think about the future of energy.
