Educator Workshops

Explore the wonders of the natural world — from North Carolina’s mountains to its coast, from your own school grounds to a Belizean tropical forest — and learn ways to integrate natural history into your lessons. Educator Workshops [2]

Shad in the Classroom

The Shad in the Classroom program is designed to teach students about ecology while helping restock the Roanoke and Neuse Rivers with American shad, an important and once-abundant species that has been radically depleted in recent decades due to overfishing, the construction of dams and increased levels of run-off pollution.
