Are you looking for innovative ways to engage your students in STEM with FREE resources and inexpensive household supplies while meeting and addressing NCES and the Next Generation Science Standards? This session will introduce teachers to NASA's Marsbound activity, with an emphasis on integrating engineering design practices into the Physical Science and Earth and Environmental Science in Grade 6-8. Come join us as we explore the many education resources NASA provides. We will build model satellites to orbit the Earth, Moon, or Mars and then launch your model satellites with your personally designed balloon rockets! This workshop is FREE and includes take-home materials and lunch.
