A meeting of the culinary with the scientific, the first half of this class will explore just what IS a mushroom, its life cycle, and the role it can play in healthy forests, bioremediation, bio-fuels, medicine and yes, cuisine!
The second half of the class will be devoted to a discussion of the different types of commercially available kits and method for growing such delicacies as shiitake and oyster mushrooms as well as others.
