Walt is a native of North Carolina with a background in Earth and environmental sciences. He has conducted research on topics ranging from analyzing relationships between climate and the growth patterns of limpets from Spain and Norway to mapping the impact of agricultural activities on stream water quality in the Cape Fear River Basin. Before joining the Visual World Investigate Lab, Walt managed a lab at NC State University where he was responsible for evaluating and processing real-time water quality data from the Neuse River.
