Special FORESTRY Science Saturday for our Trees R’ Us [2] theme!

Building the Bridge between Forest Science and Management with Web Technology

Emrys Treasure, Biological Scientist
Eastern Forest Environmental Threat Assessment Center, USDA Forest Service

Scientists are conducting cutting-edge research on critical natural resource problems and forest managers are demanding clear, concise, and credible answers to inform management decisions.  This presentation will explore these challenges as well as new technology solutions to address them.

Science Saturdays is a series of lectures and demonstrations that are held on the first Saturday of each month in Windows on the World at 11 am. The presentations mainly target middle- and high-school students, but everyone is welcome to attend.

Science Saturdays are held in partnership with the NC State University Biomedical Engineering Department and are funded through NC Space Grant.
