Special MARINE MAMMAL DAY [2] Science Saturday!
Climate Change in NC: Challenges for Local Monitoring, Prediction, and Planning
Heather Dinon, Applied Climatologist, State Climate Office of North Carolina
Heather Dinon will cover drivers of climate and climate change in NC, monitoring and prediction across various spatial and temporal scales, and trends and impacts in NC. She hopes you will walk away with a sense of how complex the climate system is but also with confidence in the science.
Science Saturdays is a series of lectures and demonstrations that are held on the first Saturday of each month in Windows on the World at 11 am. The presentations mainly target middle- and high-school students, but everyone is welcome to attend.
Science Saturdays are held in partnership with the NC State University Biomedical Engineering Department and are funded through NC Space Grant.
