Prepare and stain plant root tips for examining cells in interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase and cytokinesis. Use prepared slides to estimate the relative duration of each stage in the cell cycle. Become proficient in the use of compound microscopes and learn how to calculate total magnification. This program is 1 1/2 hours. This program takes place in the Micro World Investigate Lab .
