Join UNC-TV and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences for a preview screening of Powering the Planet, the second installment in the EARTH: The Operators’ Manual mini-series. The screening will be followed by an informative and exciting panel discussion.
EARTH: The Operators’ Manual dispenses with politics, polemics, or punditry; instead, it presents an objective, accessible assessment of the Earth’s problems and possibilities that will leave viewers informed, energized, and optimistic.
In Powering the Planet, seven fast-paced segments present memorable stories taped worldwide in Denmark, Brazil, China, Morocco, Spain, Scotland, and all across the United States, presenting case studies of what’s gone right and wrong with energy policies, and the consequences of bad choices. The program explores the promise of renewable energy options, and the different ways nations are approaching the coming global energy transformation.
Panel members are:
- Art Howard, Director of Photography for EARTH: The Operators’ Manual
- Tommy Cleveland, Solar Engineer, North Carolina State University
- Katie Shepherd, Marketing and Communications manager, NC GreenPower
