Do you find yourself barefoot and muddy more often than not? Then this camp focused around life in and around the water is for you! During this camp based at Yates Mill Pond we’ll learn aquatic science in the field through hands-on activities, experiments, and observations! Dipping tadpoles out of the pond, trapping turtles, and touring the historic Mill on-site to learn about moving water as an integral aspect of rural life in the early days of Wake County are just some of the fun things we have planned.

Yates Mill Pond is located south of Raleigh near Penny Road and Lake Wheeler Road.  All children must be dropped off and picked up at Yates Mill Pond County Park. Transportation is not available from the Museum to Yates Mill Pond.

Registration information: Registration required. Please visit the Summer Camp Frequently Asked Questions [2] page for more information.
