Scholarship Program

The Museum offers a limited number of partial scholarships for camp.  To apply for a scholarship, please submit the following in addition to your registration form:

• A short statement from the parent/guardian explaining extenuating circumstances and the $ amount that you are able to contribute towards camp tuition.
• A short written statement of the child’s interest in natural science by either the child’s teacher or a non-family member.

Scholarship applications must be received by Monday, March 11, 2013. All eligible applicants will be entered into a lottery drawing, and the selected scholarship recipients will be notified by Friday, March 15, 2013. The family’s financial contribution will be due at that time to complete the registration process.

Scholarship Benefactors

Scholarships are available through the kindness of Friends Members and camper parents.

This year the scholarships available for campers at Yates Mill Pond were given by Kenner and Karen Swain in loving memory of their mother, Rheta H. Swain, a teacher of high school biology and ecology and nature camp counselor.
