Come out to Prairie Ridge and learn how to help scientists study the migration of the Monarch Butterfly. Monarch Watch is a citizen science project that engages volunteers to capture live butterflies and tag them with harmless identification stickers. Scientists use your observations to produce migration route maps of Monarch migrations. Anyone can participate, from beginners to experts. Join us for a beginner’s tutorial to tagging these amazing creatures and how to record your observations. Children 15 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required.
