In 2006, Dombrowski earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from NC State University with a focus on zoo medicine and advanced courses in reptile, fish, invertebrate, avian and wildlife medicine. He also received the WAAZM Class of 2006 Proficiency in Zoological Medicine Award. His interests include wildlife conservation, education and veterinary medicine.
