Eastern Chipmunk

Eastern chipmunkOn warm winter days you may spot Eastern chipmunks bouncing around above ground. Only nine to ten inches long including tail, they sport dark brown and cream stripes on their furry sides and faces. Although not true hibernators, they go into well-provisioned burrows to sleep for a few of the coldest months.
