Your Backyard in Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer
Discover the fascinating world of your backyard. Meet this season’s backyard “stars:” live animals like box turtles, beetles, rabbits, salamanders, and flying squirrels. Learn how backyards can be good animal homes and how animal activity changes with each season.
Program includes 20 minutes of exploration in the Museum's Discovery Room which is filled with Discovery Boxes, Discovery Drawers, microscopes, an active beehive, animal costumes, animal hand puppets and much more. Teachers receive a packet with material and a natural history object for the class's science center. This program is adapted for each age group.
