Must register for program at least six weeks in advance of your group's visit.
Fee: 
$60 per program

Prepare and stain plant root tips for examining cells in interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase and cytokinesis.  Use prepared slides to estimate the relative duration of each stage in the cell cycle.  Become proficient in the use of compound microscopes and learn how to calculate total magnification. This program is 1 1/2 hours.
