Plan Your Field Trip
Public, Private and Home School Groups
School groups who wish to visit the Museum or Prairie Ridge have three field trip options. All options require pre-registration, but each option has different scheduling instructions.
Field Trip Option 1: Museum visit only
Discover and learn at your own pace as you explore the Museum’s four floors of exhibits.
Field Trip Option 2: Museum visit plus student program
Explore the Museum before or after your group participates in a fee-based, curriculum-correlated student program (available September–June).
Field Trip Option 3: Student program at Prairie Ridge
Outdoor student programs at Prairie Ridge, the Museum’s field station, are offered to rising Kindergarten–1st grade and 4th–5th grade students. These programs are available September–October and April–May.
Non-school Groups
All groups of 10 or more individuals (including youth camps, adults and seniors) must schedule their visit to the Museum or to Prairie Ridge.
