Funding
Your Workshop
Many school districts and civic and professional organizations
provide financial support for staff development workshops.
Contact your district office about possible grants and
scholarships.
Notification
You will receive written notification of your acceptance
into your chosen workshop(s). Detailed instructions will
be sent approximately two weeks prior to each workshop.
Renewal
Credit
Museum workshops may be approved for renewal credits by
your local school district. Workshop participants receive
a certificate of completion for the number of instructional
hours for each workshop.

Environmental Education Certification Program
Museum workshops can be used to meet
eligibility criteria for the North Carolina Environmental
Education Certification Program. For more information,
