2006 Trip Itinerary

Afternoon
We are sitting at Gate E3 in Houston, Texas, waiting to board our plane (avión) to Quito. We are all very excited (enthusiasmados)! Reflecting back, everyone was on time at RDU, even our flight! We all bonded quickly in our sub-compact plane. (Think clowns in a circus car) We have been helping the Houston economy with our extended layover. Last chance for Smoothies, Skittles, and Snickers. Miles to go before we sleep--In fact, 3400 of them before we sleep!

Night
We made it!   We finally arrived in Quito at 11:30 p.m.   Monica from the Heifer office was there to greet us and take us to our quaint hotel in the city…. Hostal Los Alpes.
We were tired but grateful for a safe journey. Looking forward to our next day seeing the city. Hasta manana (until tomorrow)!
