Scuba Diving into NC History with Greg Stratton

What is it like to scuba dive? What is a dive park, and what does one do there? The answers to these and many other questions will be addressed by Greg Stratton MA, RPA, who is the Archaeological Dive Supervisor and Dive Safety Officer for the NC Underwater Archaeology Branch at the Office of State Archaeology. He will not only share his expertise about scuba diving, but will also show us historical treasures and artifacts that have been discovered in several Civil War shipwrecks known as blockade runners. These blockade runners were found just off of Kure Beach here in North Carolina, where a new dive park will soon open.
